Allysa (Scott) Gatti, 65, of Haddon Heights, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Raised in Villanova, Lysa graduated from Radnor High School and went on to attend Lehigh University. Throughout her life, she maintained cherished friendships from every chapter — her “Radnor Girls,” the “Girks” from Lehigh, colleagues from her professional life, and her dear friends from Haddon Heights and Royal Fitness. For so many, Lysa was the very first call — whether sharing joyful news or seeking comfort during difficult times. She had a special gift of connecting with people in all facets of her life, and an infectious laugh that many of us will hear in our hearts for years to come. When you met Lysa, you felt her sincerity, curiosity, and warmth.

Lysa was defined by her enormous capacity to love others. Her deepest devotion, however, was to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael; her children, Christopher (Davis), Catherine, and Connor; her father, Willard; her brother, Craig Scott, and her sister, Sharon (Scott) Brager. Lysa was pre-deceased by her mother, Phyllis (Gilman) Scott. She also had several brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews, for whom she had an endless love. Her family was the center of her world, and she supported them with unwavering love, strength, and pride.

A woman of strong faith, Lysa was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, where she faithfully taught Sunday school for more than 25 years, touching the lives of countless children and families.

Lysa enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than 45 years in the insurance industry, including the last 35 years with AAA South Jersey. She was respected not only for her professionalism and dedication but also for the relationships she built along the way.

She found great joy in traveling, especially to the beaches of the Outer Banks, NC, Bermuda, and Naples, Florida – plus many destinations throughout Europe. Most recently, she traveled to Portugal with her family, and then to Alaska to see her Aunt Pat Ferucci and her cousins.

A passionate supporter of the arts, she was a longtime season ticket holder to the Philadelphia Ballet. She was always the first to jump on the dance floor at parties (and often, the last to leave), loved attending Zumba classes several times a week, and was an avid reader, often found with a good book with her beloved dog, Cooper, by her side.

A private service for immediate family was held on March 5th at First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lysa’s memory to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation at www.cholangiocarcinoma.org

Lysa’s warmth, loyalty, faith, and boundless love leave a legacy that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
