Arthur "Art" Dickol, 91, of Cherry Hill, NJ, peacefully passed away on November 7, 2018.
Arthur is survived by his children, Robert (Sharon) Dickol and Scott (Jackie) Dickol and 4 grandchildren: Ashley, Laura, Jason and Natalie. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Aurelia Dickol, his grandson, Drew and his wife of 61 years, Betty Lawrie Dickol. Art was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.
Art served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his degree in Civil Engineering. Art's professional career was with the Reading Railroad and Philadelphia Gas Works, where he served in various managerial positions until his retirement in 1988.
Art was devoted to his family and his church. He enjoyed history, marching bands and anything related to railroading.
A special thank you to the staff at Senior Friends, Cadbury at Home and Bayada Hospice for their loving care and support during Art's recent illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, November 15, 10 to 11 AM at the Collingswood Presbyterian Church, 30 Fern Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Inurnment with U.S. Navy military honors at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
