Matthew 25:21
Well done my good and faithful servant……Enter into the joy of your Lord
In peace, on December 1, 2024, Barbara J. Davis went home to be with her dearly loved Lord and Savior, Jesus. She lived in North Ft. Myers, FL and spent summers in Ocean City, NJ.
Barb was born in Sherman, Texas and moved at a young age to Charleston, SC. She met and married a young Air Force airman, Richard Davis on Feb 12th and moved to Haddon Heights, NJ. She and her beloved husband were married for almost 70 years.
Barbara had three children: Richard "Glenn" Davis, Lynda Murphy (nee Davis) and husband, Steve and William "Bill" Davis and wife, Barbara. In addition, Barbara is survived and missed by 8 grandchildren: Meghan Newbert (nee Murphy), Kelley Kightlinger (nee Murphy), Steven Kyle Murphy and Erin Murphy, Victoria Davis, Alyssa Davis, Richard Davis and Zachary Davis. She blessed and loved 13 great grandchildren and four very beloved nieces.
It was during her time in Haddon Hts. that Barb came to faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior. It was a change that was to mark her life from then on. She was a devoted follower of Jesus who truly lived the faith she expressed in her Lord. She was a Southern Lady and a true Prayer Warrior. Barb loved her family and always remembered birthdays and special events. She was very aware of others and would consider their needs often above her own and frequently sent notes or cards of encouragement . To know her was to have been blessed by God.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barb's visitation on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM at the Fellowship Community Church,1520 Hainesport Rd., Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. For God so loved the world that he gave his His only Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
