Peacefully on July 12, 2026, lifelong resident of Collingswood, NJ.  She was 74 years old.

Beloved wife of 47 years to the late William "Bill" Carey.  Dear mother of Kimberley (Fran) Weikel and Kevin (Katie) Carey.  Loving grandmother of Brett, Mackenzie, Franny, Billy, Tommy, Seanie, Kevie, Allie and Ashley.  She is also lovingly survived by her sister, Brenda (Dan) Wawrzyniak.

Bernice was a member of the first graduating class at Paul VI High School in 1969.  She worked as a credit investigator for United Jersey Bank and more recently was a longtime crossing guard on Haddon Ave. in Collingswood.  Bernice also enjoyed the beach, casinos and spending quality time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, July 17, 6 PM to 8 PM and Saturday, July 18, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 11 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Entombment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
