Brian S. Valerio of Collingswood, NJ passed away peacefully at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly on Saturday, March 9th, 2024.  Age 72.  Beloved husband of over 50 years to Barbara T. (nee Skabla).  Loving father to Jennifer Paladino of Delran, NJ and Amanda (Rudolf) Rotter of Cherry Hill, NJ.  Devoted grandfather to his four grandsons: Tucker, Rudolf Brian, Declan and Ethan.  Adoring uncle to many loved nieces and nephews.

Brian was born February 21st, 1952 to the late Frank and Winifred Valerio.  He is predeceased by his sister, Winifred A. Kidwell.  He was a graduate of Collingswood High School Class of 1970.  After graduation, he joined the Air Force as a Weapons Mechanic.  Upon proudly serving his country, he worked as a telecommunications professional for Verizon for 37 years.

Brian was well known for his readiness to help out his community wherever a need arose.  He was a long-time volunteer for the Telephone Pioneers of America.  After his first battle with cancer in 2008, Brian wanted to give back and became a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery Program, in which he gave free rides for cancer patients to their respective cancer related medical appointments.

Brian lived on the same block he grew up on for 70 years and was known as the handyman to all.  If you didn't have a particular tool, he probably did and would gladly let you borrow it or try to help whenever needed.

He will be missed greatly, but his legacy will live on in the many lives that he touched through his 72 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, March 16, 10:30 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  A celebration of Brian's life will follow at 11 AM.
