On July 10, 2017 at the Medford Care Center; formerly of Cheltenham, PA. Age 89 years.
He is survived by his children: Kathryn McFadden, Denise Geraghty, Marianne Alburger, Susan Coakley, Tom (Linda) Alburger and Barbara (Mike) Tait and his loving grandchildren. He was also a great "Uncle Charles" to 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He rests in peace now with his beloved parents, brother and sister.
Charles enjoyed days of his youth playing JV football, baseball and basketball in his hometown of Cheltenham, PA and 1950 summer convertible drives to Brigantine Beach, NJ with best friends, Scotty and Dot. After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1946-47 and 1950-53, he worked repairing pipe organs and then owned his own business, DelVal Balance, repairing analytical balances (a fine scale for weighing). He often spoke about fun times fishing in Ocean City, NJ and skiing at Elk Mountain and during retirement was an avid and highly skilled ballroom dancer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside service on Friday 11 AM at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Rd., Roslyn, PA 19001.
