On January 1, 2013, of Magnolia, NJ. Age 87 years.
Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Phyllis W. Lomax. Dear father of Stephen C. (Jackie) of Clayton, DE, Barry C. (Julia) of Clayton, NJ, Carol (Phil) Dischert of Magnolia, NJ and Greg (Celeste) of Sewell, NJ. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his loving dog, Greta, a sister, Beatrice Miller of FL and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Rohrbach.
At 17, Charles enlisted into the U.S. Army and served honorably as a B-24 bomber pilot in the 15th Air Force, the European Theater, WWII, flying 35 bombing missions all before his 20th birthday. Not long after being discharged, he began a fruitful 36 year career with New Jersey Bell Telephone, retiring in December 1983.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday Evening 6 to 8 PM and Monday 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
