Went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2026, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ.  He was 92 years old.

Beloved husband of 71 years to Carol M. Shropshire (nee Miller).  Dear father of Donna (Carl) Pursell, David (Lynne) Shropshire, Douglas (Patricia) Shropshire and Leslie (Neil) Wexler.  Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Charles was a 1952 graduate of Collingswood High School and a graduate of Rutgers University, Camden, NJ.  He was an employee for 34 years at Western Electric and completed his working career from Philadelphia College of Bible.  Charles was a longtime member of Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church of Woodlynne and First United Methodist Church of Collingswood.  He was also an avid collector of cigar bands, stamps, coins, first day covers, post cards and enjoyed reading, especially history.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 10 AM to 11 AM at FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Saints Prison Ministry, P.O.
