CLEMENT P. MURRAY

On April 23, 2020, of Glendora, NJ. Age 82 years. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Meschini); dear father of Michele Sharer (Frank), Patrick (Allison) and Terry (Karen); loving grandfather of Megan, Bridget, Kait, Sean, Daniel, Bethany, Brian, Daphne, Phoebe; and adoring great-grandfather of Aidan, Chase, Mason, Lucas and Charlotte. Clem was raised in Somerdale by the late Clement and Mary (Milligan) with his siblings Mary, Frank, Steve, Rose, Mike, the late Joe and the late Anthony.

Clem was a proud graduate of Camden Catholic High School (Class of '56) and followed his father in a career at The Evening Bulletin until it closed in 1982. His passion was being a Philadelphia sports fan. He loved the Eagles, Sixers and Big Five basketball, but the biggest place in his heart was reserved for the Phillies. He is probably hanging out with Richie Ashburn right about now.

Clem's faith played a defining role in his life and he was a devoted parishioner at St Teresa Church and School for six decades. Generous of spirit, Clem was a longtime member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and also coached CYO basketball in his younger years. Other qualities Clem will be remembered for are wisdom – his musings on the world generally left his listeners scratching their heads about what he meant – and patience – not only for having it himself but requiring it of loved ones who dealt with him every day.

A memorial Mass will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Clem's name be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa Church, 13 E. Evesham Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
