Suddenly on May 5, 2008, of Clayton, DE, formerly of Westville, NJ. Age 85 years.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Margaret Norton (nee-Polt). Dear father of Donna (Thomas) Broszeit of Bremerton, WA and Margaret "Peggy" (William) Dougherty of Audubon, NJ. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Christopher and Brittany Broszeit and Melissa, William and Brian Dougherty; a brother, James T. of Barnsboro, NJ; dearest friend, Arthur (Elizabeth) Schlecht of Vandalia, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Norton was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, longtime member of American Legion Post #72, Brooklawn, NJ and member of VFW Post #1958, Haddon Heights, NJ. He was a 46 year co-owner of Ray Betts Liquor Store, Brooklawn, NJ, retiring in 1992. Don and Peg especially enjoyed their grandchildren, traveling throughout the U.S. and dancing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 213 Woodbine Ave., Westville, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Entombment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
