Doris Kraemer, 88, died peacefully at her son Gary's home in Sussex County, NJ on February 18, 2014 with Gary and his wife, Carol, at her side. She was born on August 29, 1925 in Bronxville, NY. She grew up on the campus of Concordia College, where her father was a professor of mathematics and later president. She moved with her family to Long Island City, NY when her father became pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Bryant High School there and later received her associate college degree from Concordia College. She was secretary to her father who was president of the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. There she met her beloved husband, Art, whom she married in 1951. She and Art relocated to Westmont, NJ in 1954 where she resided until her death. She was devoted to her family and to her church, where she actively participated in many activities, most notably right-to-life issues. She was a loving mother and grandmother who hosted many family gatherings and infected all with her wide smile and ready laugh. Doris is the beloved wife of the late Arthur P. Kraemer. She is survived by her son, Gary, daughter-in-law, Carol and grandchildren, Madeline and Kimberly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday Evening 6 to 8 PM and Saturday 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral Service will follow Saturday 11 AM. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
