Obituary
(nee Henderson) On February 17, 2016, age 96, of Williamstown, NJ; formerly a longtime resident of Haddon Township and Cherry Hill.
Dorothy, daughter of the late Walter R. and Laura R. Henderson, was born in Camden, NJ, grew up in Collingswood and was a 1937 graduate of Collingswood High School. Wife of the late Harry Young, she is survived by a daughter, Susan (Curtis) Cudworth of Bel Air, MD and a sister, Elizabeth "Bette" Whitehill of Williamstown, NJ.
"Dot" retired from Strawbridge & Clothier after 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church of Cherry Hill for 57 years and served on several committees there. She also volunteered for many years ending in 2007 with the Methodist Women's Auxiliary at the Collingswood Manor. She moved in 2009 to Juniper Village Assited Living in Williamstown and to Meadow View Nursing and Rehabilitation in Williamstown in May of last year.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday 11 AM at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 327 Rt. 70 West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the church at the above address.
