On Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, Elizabeth V. Brennan passed away at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Milagro, Ecuador, Elizabeth spent most of her youth in various towns and cities throughout Colombia as a part of the successful touring and recording groups "Las Hermanas Villarreal" and "El Trio Colombia" until her arrival in the United States in the winter of 1969. Her love of music and passion for teaching led her to faculty positions at the prestigious Bloomingdale School of Music in New York City and later Settlement Music School in Philadelphia where she specialized in music theory for children. Post-retirement, her penchant for learning and exploration saw her engaged in various interests including sign language, healing therapies and spirituality.

Elizabeth's life can be defined by her courage, kindness and grace through which she was able to touch the lives of many. She enjoyed nothing more than a good warm cup of tea and being in the presence of loved ones and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

Elizabeth is survived by her three devoted sons, Antonio Artuz, Julio Artuz (Joyce) and Sergio Brennan (Andrea). Grandmother to Daniel Artuz (Vanessa), Julio Artuz Jr., Jazmyn Artuz, Lilienne Brennan and Javier Brennan. Great-grandmother to Logan and Dean Artuz. Elizabeth is also survived by sisters, Marlene Walter (Villarreal), Gladys Chica (Villarreal) and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews throughout South America. She is also survived by her previous husband Colin T. Brennan.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her viewing Friday, October 15th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Foster-Warne Funeral Home, 820 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A celebration of life service will take place at King of Kings Community Church at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 16th located at 5501 Lexington Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
