Obituary
(nee Semonche) On May 22, 2021, of Audubon, NJ. Age 91 years.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Dopilka. Dear mother of daughter, Denise Dopilka (deceased); sons: David J. Dopilka, Dwight A. Dopilka and Joseph A. Dopilka. She is also lovingly survived by six grandchildren: Christopher, Alicia, Andrew, Krisann, Sidney and Marcus and 3 great grandchildren: Eliza, Jane and Hazel.
Elsie was born in Alpha, NJ, grew up during the Great Depression and graduated from Trenton State Teachers College in New Jersey. She went on to teach in Audubon, NJ before becoming a full-time stay-at-home Mom and homemaker. She was a fundraising volunteer for Deborah Hospital for over 25 years. Elsie enjoyed travelling to the Grand Teton mountains in Wyoming, the beach, listening to the Booth Brothers Southern Gospel Trio and spending time involved in activities of her family, such as NASCAR and space flight.
She was a dedicated, self-sacrificing Mom all her life, always interested in the welfare of others above herself.
She is now interred next to her husband, Joseph, a World War II veteran, in the Garden of Honor at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to her home church: Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 East Clements Bridge Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
