Obituary

On January 25, 2021, of Haddon Heights, NJ.  Age 86 years.

Beloved wife of the late William F. Dugary.  Dear mother of William J. (Susan M.), Robert D. (Susan), Joseph P. (Dawn) and Linda (Joe) Grippi.  Loving grandmother of Billy, Brian, Mary Cait, Joy, Danielle, Brittanie, Justin, Joey, Brianna, Ashley and Erika and great grandmother of Daphne, Dean, Declan, Dayleigh, Joseph III, Brielle, Michael, Raelynn and Benjamin, who will arrive soon.  She is also lovingly survived by two sisters, Rita and Eleanor and many other family and friends.

Emilia was called by "many" names... wife, mother, daughter, sister, grand-mom, great grand-mom, "Mimi" and Mimi mom-mom, meemer, cousin, aunt and friend but her most cherished title was matriarch! She absolutely loved her family and was very proud of them all. She would love hearing stories, getting goodies, seeing the kids, playing games and just generally enjoying visits from family and friends! Holidays before the covid were her favorite because she got to see the whole gang together. She liked crossword puzzles and actual puzzles, bingo and bowling, pinochle and rummy, crocheting and canvas, she sold on Ebay but mostly purchased on line and had weekly phone sessions with her sister "Ellie" She was married to Bill, the love of her life until she lost him at age 49 and continued the task of leading the family from that point on and did a perfect job of it! She was so excited about the latest addition Joseph P Dugary III who would be brought and presented for a visit almost on a daily basis as she greeted him covid style on he front porch. She was constantly making gifts of useful household items by hand to the point of making us open them together because if one opened them too soon they would all know what they were getting!  Her eyesight was failing, her hearing was impaired and she could barely get across the room without help but never complained and absolutely had nothing bad to say about anyone. She loved, she laughed and lived a life full of fun and compassion. She will definitely be greeted by the Lord himself when she reaches "The Spirit in the Sky!" We love you mom and hold you in our hearts forever. God bless you and may he hold you in the palm of his hands.

To know her was to love her.  She has touched so many lives with love, laughter and true friendship.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday 9 to 10:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Ave. and Kings Hwy., Haddon Heights, NJ.  Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
