Flora Dorothea "Dottie" Hinger (née Bauscher), passed peacefully on the morning of September 2, 2026, at Brookdale Evesham Senior Living in Vorhees, NJ, at the age of 94. 

She was married for 61 years to John T. "Jack" Hinger, and raised three children with him. Later she decided to attend college, earning a nursing degree at an age well beyond most of her classmates, a challenge she met with eager determination and took well-deserved pride in accomplishing, working for a time as a visiting nurse. She loved nature and music, often harmonizing to her husband's singing of old standards as they drove on family trips to the shore.

Preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice May Bauscher (née Hughes) and Walter Julius Bauscher; her husband John T. Hinger, Sr. (in 2013); and her brothers Walter Julius Bauscher, Jr. and Glenn Hughes Bauscher. Survived by her children Judith Hinger Hoskins (Darwin), John T. Hinger, Jr., and James D. Hinger (Lorraine); her grandchildren Pamela, Natalie, Kimberly (Ryan), Jacqueline (Daniel), Daniel (Madison), Matthew (Jessie), and Bo; and great grandchildren Aiden, Rylynn, Maddison, Jonathan, Vincent, and Kinsley; also her nieces Tina, Jill, Carol (Hal), Linda, and Dianne (Chris); and nephews David (May), Michael (Michelle), Bob, Don (Karen) and their families. We will all miss her.

Dottie's memorial service will be private for her family.
