Florence May Bell Mitchell came to rest peacefully on June 4, 2015, in Greenville, SC, where she had resided since 2012. Formerly a longtime resident of Collingswood, NJ. Age 89 years.
Florence was the daughter of the late Martin R. and Florence May Palmer Delucas and step-father, Frank Delucas. She was also predeceased by her loving and caring husband, William Francis Mitchell, Sr., a former FBI Agent and private investigator. She is survived by her sons: Richard F. Mitchell of Philadelphia, PA, William F. (Linda) Mitchell of Greenville, SC, Francis J. (Linda) Mitchell of Mullica Hill, NJ and daughter, Louray Mitchell of West Chester, PA. Dear sister of Loretta Bailey of Taylors, SC. She is also survived by many caring and loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born on January 29, 1926 in Camden, NJ, Florence was a graduate of Collingswood High School and Jefferson University Nursing Program. She was very active with Collingswood High School and their Athletic Hall of Fame, as well as the former FBI Agents Society of the Philadelphia area.
A memorial service was held in Greenville, SC.
