Obituary

On September 30, 2013, of Oaklyn, NJ, formerly of Collingswood, NJ. Age 93 years. Beloved husband of 68 years to Caroline Joseph (nee Stasulli). Dear father of William (Carolyn) Joseph of Oaklyn, NJ, Carolyn (William) Hall of Magnolia, NJ and Barbara (Daniel) Scriboni of Oaklyn, NJ. Grandfather of Stephen, Kristen, Ashley, William IV, Travis and Natalie. Predeceased by his grandson, Paul. Great grandfather of six great grandchildren.

Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds, George played from 1938-1941 in minor league professional baseball. He then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Bennington. After the war, he resumed his baseball career with the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 1946-1947. Upon completion of his baseball career, George was employed for 35 years with Kelsey-Hayes Manufacturing Co., Philadelphia, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, October 5th, 9 to 10:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Catholic Prayer Service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
