Obituary
On September 4, 2012, a resident of Haddon Heights, NJ for over 55 years. Age 90 years.
Beloved husband for over 60 years to the late Janet Griffith (nee Bruce). Dear father of Harold L., Jr. (Nancy) and the late Robert A. (Susan). Loving grandfather of Harold L. "Lee", III, Kelly Thompson, Susan Griffith and Bridgette Griffith. He is also survived by four great grandchildren: Tyler, Bryn, Kierstyn and Blake and his sister, Rev. Henrietta Griffith.
Mr. Griffith was a 1942 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Later, he owned/operated Griffith's Parking Lots in Camden for 40 years, then worked with the Camden Parking Authority for 10 years.
He was a life member for 50 years of the Haddon Heights Fire Department, a member of the First United Methodist Church, Haddon Heights for over 55 years and a member of Rising Sun Lodge #15 F&AM, Haddon Heights.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday Evening 6 to 8 PM and Monday 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
The family requests contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, 704 Garden St., Haddon Heights, NJ 08035 and/or the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 (www.heart.org).
