Obituary

Harold A. "Hal" Hartung, of Collingswood, NJ, passed away on July 19, 2014 with his children by his side.  Age 96 years.  Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Doris S. Hartung.  Dear father of Joyce (John) Shields of West Chester, PA, Holly (Mario) D'Agostino of Upper Deerfield, NJ and Chuck (Karen) Hartung of Collingswood, NJ.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: John (Maria), Kris (Bill), David (Neely), Anthony (Erin), Sharon, Stacy (Simon), Sue and C.J. and 15 great grandchildren.

Hal was a 1942 graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology with a degree in chemical engineering.  He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran with the rank of captain and earned a Bronze Star medal.  Hal then earned his master's degree in chemical engineering in 1947 from the University of Pennsylvania.  He owned and operated Hartung Associates of Camden for 30 years and was a holder of several patents in various fields.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday 9 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment private.
