Helen Genevieve "Jen" Romano passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023.  A longtime resident of Collingswood, NJ, Jen was 100 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late James V. Romano, Sr.  Loving mother of Patricia (the late Joseph) Marino of Collingswood, NJ, Denise Romano-Foust (Larry Griffin) of Singer Island, FL, James V. Romano, Jr. (Richard Farrell) of Collingswood, NJ and Paul Romano of Collingswood, NJ.  Devoted grandmother of the late Maria L. Marino.  She is also survived by her beloved dog, Chica.

Jen was born in Camden and grew up during the Great Depression, from which she learned the importance of having not just a roof over one's head, but of making a home. She brought that to her marriage as she created a loving home for her husband, four children and many family pets over the years.

Jen had many passions: gardening, family get-togethers, and occasional trips to Atlantic City to play the slots. She took Lottery scratch-offs as serious business, and carried a kazoo in her pocketbook that she was always ready to pull out with her many friends to liven up a party.

Jen's sharp sense of humor and deep faith kept her going throughout her long life, and touched everyone around her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 22, 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
