Irene "Rene" Schillinger (née Gentile), 85, passed away surrounded by family and love on Friday, December 2, 2022 of Haddon Township, NJ.

Born on September 11, 1937 to the late Robert and Edith Gentile, she was raised in Paulsboro, NJ.

Rene went on to marry the late Charles "Corky" Schillinger III, becoming a long-time resident of Audubon, NJ, and mother to 4 daughters.

Rene was a beloved family member, friend, neighbor and "Mom-Mom" to all who knew her.  If she wasn't tending to family, you would often find her with a crossword puzzle or whipping up her world-famous meatballs.  A true matriarch, Rene was one of the kindest people you could meet, as she opened her heart and home (and kitchen!) to so many people over the years.

Rene's beautiful life and legacy will be carried on through her four daughters: Sherri Becker, Cindy Schillinger, Vicki Ayres (Bill Ayres) and Kelly Brown (Jamie Brown); sister Elizabeth Gentile; grandchildren Melissa Becker, Jessi Schillinger, Liz Ayres, Sam Mazza, JC Brown, Morgan Brown, Alexa Brown; and great-grandchildren Jaxon Horan, Lily Mazza, Luca Mazza; Predeceased by brother Robert Gentile and son-in-law Bruce Becker.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, December 8, 10 AM to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
