Suddenly on April 2, 2018, of Port St. Lucie, FL and Oaklyn, NJ. Age 64 years.
Beloved husband to his high school sweetheart, Mary Anne Meier (nee McGovern). Dear father of Adam Kandle. Loving son of the late Josef and Eileen "Betty" Meier. Devoted brother of Joe (Barbara), John (Amy), Tom (Kelley) and his favorite sister, Eileen (Tim). Brother-in-law of Donna (Joe) Lesher, John McGovern, Kathleen (Stephen) McHugh, Patricia Palese and Christopher (Kathleen) McGovern. He is also lovingly survived by nieces and nephews: Joseph (Sara) Meier, Lauren (Danny) Kalman, Alysha Lovenduski, John Lovenduski, Melissa, John Thomas (Danny), Alexandra and Ian Meier; Shane (Caitlyn), Monica and Mary Catherine Lesher and Matthew McGovern and favorite great uncle of Joseph and Charlotte Meier and Olivia and Madison Kalman.
Over the course of 40 years Jim built Park Ave. Autos, on the Collingswood Circle, into one of the most successful used car dealerships in the area with the help of his trusted employee, Hector. Jim will be remembered for his ability to make anyone smile, his humility, and above all else, the kindness he extended to family, friends and customers, many of whom became his friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday 8:30 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. A time of sharing and remembrance will follow at 11 AM. Interment private.
