Quietly at home in Haddon Heights, NJ, on January 31, 2008. Age 87 years.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Thelma "Babe" Staffiera. Dear father of Jim (Becky), Bob (Gwen) and Terri. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Mike (Karen), Dave (Heather), Meggie and Jillie, four great grandchildren: Katie, Bibith, Ethan and Will, a brother, Joseph, many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Rita K. Caron.
Mr. Staffiera was a 1938 graduate of Woodbury High School. He was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and sole survivor of a B-24 plane crash in June 1943 at Alamagordo, NM. Mr. Staffiera was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Holy Child Council #3532, Runnemede, NJ, a member of Murray-Trout Post #262 American Legion, Audubon, NJ and a lifetime member of the D.A.V.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Monday 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Rose of Lima, 4th Ave. & Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ. Interment private. Friends may visit with the family Monday 9 to 10 AM at the church.
