Suddenly on June 25, 2016, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 89 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Peggy J. (nee Hanshaw). Loving father of James F., Jr. and Thomas. Grandfather to Timothy, Ryan, Jim, Sean and Colin. "Poppie" has been reunited for eternity with his beloved wife Peggy, and the fondest of memories of the two of them will endure for all who knew and loved them.

Jim loved a good horserace, a championship boxing match and was always happy sitting in a card game. He also relished telling stories of his youth growing up and with his brother Michael.

A member of the Greatest Generation, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was also a retired PSE&G utility worker. Friend, husband, brother, father and grandfather, he is at peace in the care of our Lord.

Funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
