Jean Etienne Simiand, 85, a resident of the Collingswood Manor, Collingswood, NJ, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Mr. Simiand was born in Paris, France on December 24, 1927. He was married to Letitia Jane Ray, of Collingswood on December 23, 1957. The couple settled in Collingswood at Jane's family home on Belmont Avenue, where they lived together for 48 years. He worked for the Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia for most of his career. He was fond of the Jersey shore and would visit Cape May often with his wife who died in 2005. He was also a collector of rare paper money as well as stamps and Swiss army knives. In 2011, Mr. Simiand moved from Belmont Avenue to the Collingswood Manor.
Mr. Simiand is the husband of the late Letitia Jane (nee Ray) and brother of the late Catherine (David) Diehl of Haddonfield, NJ. He is survived by a nephew, David Diehl of Frederick, MD and a niece, Lisa Sheffield of Charlottesville, VA.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Monday, July 22nd, 10:30 to 11 AM in the Chapel of the Collingswood Manor, 460 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment private.
