Obituary
On August 7, 2012, of Westmont, NJ. Age 88 years.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Ruth E. Afford. Dear father of Sandy (John) Phelps, Beth (Mike) Gamache and John Jr. (Carol). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Afford was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and a research specialist at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School for over 40 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family Tuesday, August 14, 10 to 11 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 832 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Celebration of his life will follow at 11 AM. Inurnment Harleigh Cemetery.
The family requests donations be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Food Pantry at the above address.
