Surrounded by his loving family on August 17, 2023, of Collingswood, NJ.  Age 72 years.

Beloved husband of Annette (nee Campbell).  Loving father of Lori Fleming of Collingswood, NJ, John (Tracy) Fleming of Havertown, PA and Monica (Joseph) Ochal of Haddon Twp., NJ.  Devoted grandfather of Christian, Grace, Alexandria, Charlie, Liam, Amelia, Oliver and Laura.  He is also lovingly survived by his sister, Victoria (Nick) Merlino; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Lorraine (Hank) and many nieces and nephews.

John was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School in 1968 and started work at Western Electric.  John and Annette were married in 1975 and moved to Collingswood in 1977.  He was active in Collingswood Rec Sports and was past president and longtime member of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Men's Club.  He was also a current member of Oaklyn VFW Post 4463.

John began his military career in the Army and concluded after almost 40 years of service from the United States Air National Guard as Chief Master Sergeant.

John loved sitting outside their shore house with his bourbon and cigar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, August 23, 6 PM to 8 PM and Thursday, August 24, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Interment with military honors will follow at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
