Peacefully on May 16, 2026, of Collingswood, NJ.  He was 89 years old.

Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Anna Darlington, Sr. and siblings, Frank, Eva, Josephine and Paul.  He is lovingly survived by nieces and nephews, JoAnn (Dave) Sheehan, Dawn (Eric) Stevenson, Patricia Darlington, Peggy Darlington and Linda Russell; great nieces, JoAnna (Eric), Jennifer (Brian), the late Kaitlin Darlington, Brihanna Stevenson, the late D.J. Sheehan and great great nephew, Lucas and great great niece, Kaylee.

John was a 1954 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.  He worked at Rite Aid in Collingswood for many years following a career as a bookkeeper.  He also enjoyed gardening, photography, reading, music and family history.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 10 AM to 11 AM at FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM.  Inurnment at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Samaritan Hospice at www.samaritannj.org and/or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia at www.chop.edu.
