Obituary

On February 21, 2008, peacefully at the Collingswood Manor. Age 92 years.

Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Mary A. Moran (Nee-Campbell). Dear father of Robert J. of Collingswood, NJ, John J., Jr.(Dorothy) of Haddon Heights, NJ, Francis X. of Collingswood, NJ Margaret (Lawrence) Minarcin of Alderpoint, CA, Michael J. (Anne) of Malvern, PA, Patrick J.(Monica) of Roslyn, PA and Joseph M. (Sylvie)of Haddonfield, NJ. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, two brothers, Robert J. Moran of Avalon, NJ and William Moran of FL, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Born in Philadelphia on March 27, 1915, Mr. Moran was the oldest of six children of Robert and Elizabeth Moran. He was a 1933 graduate of LaSalle College High School in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, Mr. Moran was employed at Williams, Brown & Earle Co. of Philadelphia, a supplier of scientific instruments, for 40 years. Later he went to work at Dolby & Scientific.

He was an active member of St. John Roman Catholic Parish in Collingswood for 50 years where he taught CCD religion classes for many years. Previously he was a member of St. Joseph's Pro-Cathedral, Camden, NJ, where he participated in and managed many of the activities of the parish.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at the Church of St. John, Park & Lees Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the church. Arrangements by the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, Collingswood, NJ.
