Peacefully on November 29, 2022 at home in Audubon, NJ, surrounded by his loving family. Age 77 years.

Loving father of Shirley (Robert Copenhafer) Steinmacher and John J. Steinmacher, Jr. (Natasha). Dear grandfather of Hayden and Eliot Copenhafer, Katherine Steinmacher and Keenan Cephas. "Papa John" to Nicole (Howard) Good, Eric Manganaro, Victoria, Howard, Nathaniel and Benjamin Good. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Alvera Steinmacher. Dear brother of Marlyn (the late John) Sterling. He is also survived by a dear cousin, Kathleen Garnich, nephews; John, Michael and Terry, his kitty, Betty Boop and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, December 5, 9 to 10 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 10 AM. Interment Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
