Beloved son of the late Joseph "Papa Joe" and Dorothy Feuda. Dear brother of Mary Anne (the late Fred) DeAndrea and the late Elaine (Richard) Buthe. He is also survived by five nephews: Fred J. (Janee) DeAndrea, Douglas S. DeAndrea, David C. (Hillary) DeAndrea, Paul Buthe and Jeff (Mary Margaret) Buthe; and seven grand nieces and nephews: Nathan, Ayla, Autumn, Thomas and Matthew Buthe and Maya and Owen DeAndrea.
Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Magnolia, NJ. He was a 1964 graduate of Sterling High School and a proud member of its football team, including the 1963 squad that was the first undefeated team in school history. He played briefly at Catawba College before an injury ended his playing career, and completed his studies at Rowan University. After moving to South Florida and working more than 20 years in sales, he returned to New Jersey to be near family and enjoyed a second career as an elementary school physical education teacher and coach in the Camden City School District. Joe was an avid sports fan, tennis player and deep sea fisherman. He will be greatly missed by friends and family who loved him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 12 Noon to 1 PM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 PM. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
