On July 8, 2021, Joy Evans (nee Christensen) of Westmont, NJ.  Age 78 years.

She is survived by Craig, her husband of 55 years, her son Neil (Rachel), her daughter Claire, her brother Tom (Lora Lou), and her three grandchildren Henry, Jane, and Margaret.

Joy was born in San Francisco during World War II.  She graduated from Collingswood High School in 1961 and the University of Delaware in 1965.  She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Collingswood where she taught Sunday School for 35 years and coordinated a Tuesday Bible class for 20 years.  She remained active in Camden County PTA for years after serving as Strawbridge School's PTA President.  She loved to write notes, knit, collect and use old stamps, care for her many houseplants, and do crossword puzzles and cryptograms.

A memorial service celebrating Joy's life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 24 at the First United Methodist Church, 201 Dayton Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108.  Friends may call beginning at 1 PM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the above-named church for its missions fund or to Sandy Cove Ministries, 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD 21901.
