Obituary
Judith B. Shinn, of Marlton, NJ died peacefully at home on October 6, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends after a long battle with cancer. Age 77 years. Beloved wife of 54 years to Herbert. Loving mother of Suzy (Keith) Wagner, Lisa Shinn and Scott Shinn. Adoring Nana to Amber (Christopher) Binder, Justin, Haley, Kris, Kim and Karlie Wagner. Judy was a devoted daughter of the late Lester and Marion Darnell and beloved sister of the late Bobby and Billy Darnell and sister-in-law, Helen. Dear aunt to Linda Spiegelman and cousin to the late Iris Mangan and her daughters Patty, Linda and Diane.
Judy adored her family, home and friends and warmed all with her loving manner, dry wit, infectious laugh and joy for life. She loved to swim in her pool and frolic in the ocean waves. Judy found great joy and peace in nature and was a simple and straight forward person who referred to herself as a "farmer's daughter". A talented artist, Judy's passions included music, cooking and the ballet. She was Nanny to her beloved rescue kitty cats Teak and Daisy.
Judy was blessed by very special friends Sue Schlereth and her beautiful family. Other dear friends, Chuck, Debbie, MaryLou and Bob, Bill and Lorraine, Emily and Bill, Ariel, Ron, Susan, Hedy, Isabelle, Greg and Dot, and the Papaycik, Datz and Nardi families. A special thank you to Dr. Steven Rosenzweig whose care and compassion is immeasurable. In addition, our deepest appreciation to the many loving caregivers.
Judy was a loving mother, devoted wife and a special friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Judy's family on Monday, October 13th, 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment private.
