IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julia
Greenhalgh
July 3, 1927 – September 4, 2022
Julia Perovich Greenhalgh was born on July 3, 1927 in Silverbrook, PA to immigrant Yugoslavian parents. As a child she lived in several states, as Julia's father followed the jobs for coal miners. She had five siblings.
In Philadelphia, Julia was an excellent student and athlete, and graduated from high school early in order to enter the work world. She met and married George Greenhalgh in 1947. She and George lived in Philadelphia and worked for Philco until they moved to Delanco, NJ where they raised their two daughters. During the years that Julia lived in Delanco she was a full-time working mom, participated in the ladies auxiliary of the Beverly American Legion, was active in the Delanco Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Jadran social club.
Julia had a very rewarding professional life. She spent 42 years as the executive assistant to Henry Rowan, the founder and CEO of Inductotherm Corporation in Rancocas, NJ. Traveling with family and friends throughout the United States and abroad became one of her many joys. Some of her favorite memories are the trips she made with her grandchildren.
In 2015, Julia moved to the Evergreens, an Acts community in Moorestown, NJ. Residents immediately welcomed her to the community, and during more recent years, the staff provided outstanding assistance while demonstrating extraordinary kindness and care. In July, she celebrated her 95th birthday.
Julia was the beloved wife of the late George Greenhalgh. Loving mother of Deborah (Jack) Bernetich and Pamela (Bill) Adams. Devoted grandmother of Heather (Keith) Omlor, Jeff (Leslie) Knowlton, Dana (Joe) Filippoli, Brian (Sandi) Adams and Lauren (Paul) O'Shea and great grandmother to Karli, Ryan, Asher, Bronwyn, Isla, Emilie, Jessica and Jenna. Julia is also survived by her sister-in-law, Vi Greenhalgh and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Julia's life on Friday, October 14, 2022, 12:00 to 3:00 PM at The Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Rd., Moorestown, NJ 08057.
