Kathryn (Kathy) Loughery Mitchell, 67, of Barrington, NJ, passed away at her home on June 8, 2025.

Kathy was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of James and Emily (Stopyra) Loughery and grew up in Stratford, NJ with her four siblings Jane, Joanne, James and Karol.  She graduated Sterling High School in 1976 and married her high school sweetheart, John Vincent Mitchell in 1978. Since 1985, Kathy and John have been longtime residents of Barrington where they raised their three children, John David, Marisa and Matthew.

Kathy enjoyed planting tomatoes in her garden, tending to her houseplants, relaxing in her pool and interacting with customers when she worked at Carmen's Deli in Bellmawr.  Her greatest joy, however, was her five grandchildren Benji, Reeve, Zoe, Ailish and Gordon.

She is survived by her loving husband, John, children John (Yasmin) Mitchell, Marisa (Justin) Dodulik, Matthew (Nicole) Mitchell, grandchildren Benji, Reeve, Zoe, Ailish and Gordon, sisters Jane Thorpe and Karol Lavender, siblings-in-law Mike Mitchell, Albert Soto, Cindi Kelley and Larry Mitchell and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Emily Loughery, siblings Joanne Brucker and James Loughery, in-laws John and Caroline Mitchell and Donna Fiore.

A visitation and memorial service will be held in her honor on Thursday, June 19 starting at 11am followed by the service at 12pm at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave, Collingswood, NJ.  Interment private.
