Obituary

Loretta M. Petti, 70, of Mount Laurel, NJ was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 26, 2023.  She passed away peacefully at The Samaritan Center at Voorhees surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 30, 1952 to parents Harry and Nina Venturo, Loretta was the second, and only girl, of five children. She very recently celebrated huge milestones in both her 70th birthday and 50 years of marriage to her devoted husband Rich, whom she wed in 1973. A godly wife and mother, their children and grandchildren were her great joy.

Loretta's life was defined by her faith in Jesus Christ. She prayed to accept Christ in 1983 while watching the 700 Club, and she lived her life for the glory of the Lord from that day on. She was gentle, kind, and loving, and demonstrated Christlikeness in every situation she faced. Throughout her days, and to the end of her time on earth, Loretta radiated the joy of the Lord and sought to introduce everyone she could to Jesus.

An amazing artist, Loretta found great delight in creating beautiful things. Her artistic works will live on for many years, reminding us of the beautiful person, inside and out, that made them.

Loretta is survived by her loving husband, Rich Petti; children Jen (Jeff) Kliewer and Anthony (Leigh Ann) Petti; grandchildren Abby and Tim Kliewer, and Victoria and Nicholas Petti; brothers Rich Ventura, Dave (Jamie) Ventura, and Mike (Jill) Venturo; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Nina Venturo, and her older brother, Art Venturo.

Loretta's family, church family, and friends, along with all who knew her, speak of the incredible blessing she brought into all of our lives. She was special, and we will all miss her greatly. The family thanks all of you for your many prayers and words of encouragement, not only for us now, but for Loretta over the past two years of illness. We continue to feel surrounded by the love that has been poured out on her.

A celebration of Loretta's life will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 am, with visitation before the service from 9:00-11:00 am, both at Cornerstone Church, 515 Mount Laurel Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. An interment will follow at Marlton Baptist Cemetery, 26 Wescott Road, Evesham, NJ 08053.

Donations to the The Samaritan Center at Voorhees (265 NJ-73, Voorhees Township, NJ 08043) or Cornerstone Church (address above) are welcome. Flowers may be sent directly to Cornerstone Church. Online condolences may be expressed through www.fosterwarnefuneralhome.com.
