(nee Kerney) Surrounded by her loving family at home in Collingswood, NJ on October 24, 2023.  Age 96 years.

Beloved wife of the late William R. Carter, Sr.  Loving mother of Margaret (the late Mark) Lacovara, Marianne (John) Warne, Jr., William R. (Claire) Carter, Jr., John (Donna) Carter, Edward Carter and the late Martha (Joseph) Shaw.  Devoted grandmother to 16 grandchildren: Jennifer (Craig), Mark (Debra), Jeffrey (Laura), Michelle (Dave), Meggan (Patrick), Johnny (Rachel), Joey (Marissa), Katie (Brian), Ashley (Shane), Maggie (Dan), Emily (Mike), Erin (Kevin), Joseph (Rebecca), Kyle (Rachel), Colin and Keenan and G.G. to 23 great grandchildren: Grace, Ella, Emma, Logan, Zoe, Lucille, Madalyn, Sean, Sydney, Carter, Cora, Pippa, Wes, Marlee, Felicity, Grady, Lochlan, Maeve, Cecilia, Ford, Wade, Myla and Gavin.  Dear sister of Michael (Jeanne) Brennan, Patrick (Joan) Brennan, the late Edna (the late Frank) Johnson and the late Catherine (the late Frank) Donnelly.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Marge was a lifelong parishioner of St. John Church in Collingswood.  She was a longtime employee for the Garden State, Atlantic City and Monmouth Racetracks in NJ and Liberty Bell Park in Philadelphia, PA.  Affectionately known as, "Mrs. Carter,"  to the hundreds of children who attended Tatem Elementary School in Collingswood during her 25 years as secretary there until her retirement.  Marge also worked part-time for the Camden County Parks and Recreation Department until the pandemic in 2020.  To those who were close with Marge, know she would always say, "When you got it, you got it."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, October 29, 4 PM to 7 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 30, 11 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
