Obituary

Peggy passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024 with her daughter, Christina by her side.  A longtime South Jersey resident, she was 81 years old.

Loving mother of Christina (Robert) McNamara of Collingswood, NJ and Robert (Laurie) Guglielmetti of AZ.  Dear sister of the late Robert Jenkins.  Peggy is also survived by her niece, Katey Jenkins, her nephew, Glenn Jenkins, former sister-in-law, Diane Giessler and her beloved cat, Mittens.

Peggy was an accomplished crafter and artist, talents that served her well over the years in several careers.  She taught classes at an art and craft studio and subsequently as a buyer and office manager for Pickwick Village, a chain of card and gift stores in Northern NY and NJ. Her position as Office Manager for Zweibel & Associates ultimately resulted in moving to South Jersey with her children in 1981.  She worked for Zweibel and then Kravet Fabrics, as Showroom Manager at the Philadelphia Marketplace Design Center.  Mom was most proud of the craft business she started, Thyme is Of the Essence, initially part-time and then full-time in 1998.  She loved seeing people appreciate her designs. It brought her tremendous joy.

Mom spent the last three months with Complete Care at Marcella Center in Burlington, NJ.  The family thanks the staff for the care and support extended throughout her stay.

Peggy loved cooking, gardening and animals, including many cats over the years.  Mom was intelligent, funny, beautiful, and will be forever loved and deeply missed by those closest to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peggy's visitation on Monday, November 18, 2024 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Remembrance service will follow at 7:00 PM.  Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peggy's memory to SCUCS (Senior Citizens United Community Services) at www.scucs.org and/or MABCR (Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue) at www.mabcr.org .  Christina participated in the Philadelphia Alzheimer's Walk Saturday and donations are also appreciated in support of the Alzheimer's Association which can be made here:
