IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret
Vespe
April 14, 1926 – January 9, 2021
Peacefully on January 9, 2021, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, with her daughter and family by her side.
Beloved wife of the late Dominic Vespe, Sr. Dear mother of the late Dominic Vespe, Jr. and Eileen (Tom) Willis. Loving grandmother of her special granddaughter, Nicole Willis, 5 other grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: Sean, Gabriel, Sofia, Enzo, Jace and Cambrie. She is also lovingly survived by Lee Willis (Michelle) and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born in Camden. She grew up at 1108 Van Hook Street with her parents and brothers, Joe and Bill and her sister Eleanor. She is the last of the Dugary (Doo-ga-ry) clan.
She married Don and enjoyed a strong and loving marriage for 49 years. She looked forward to her yearly family vacations in Wildwood as the beach was her favorite place to be. She was a stay at home mom until her children were older. She worked at Strawbridge & Clothier in the Mens' Department for 20 years. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed many trips with the Half Century Jets at St. Cecilia's parish in Pennsauken. The yearly Poconos trip was always one of her favorites.
She loved to be around people. Her family brought her the greatest joy. Margaret was always willing to help anyone in need. She was charitable, kind and loving. She gave to many charities every year, especially St. Jude's, Maryknoll, and the Salvation Army.
Margaret also enjoyed baking and everyone loved her cookies and cakes. She loved her sweets. She also liked to sit outside and enjoy the day. She was determined to be independent and make her own decisions. She loved her husband with a passion and died peacefully in her home.
A special thanks to Michele, Ana and Joan for taking such good care of her during her declining years. She appreciated all that they did for her and loved them very much.
