Maria F. Gomes (nee Lopes) passed away at home in Collingswood, NJ on March 5, 2023.  Formerly of Guarda, Portugal, Maria was 97 years old.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Raul A. Gomes.  Loving mother of John (Yvonne) Gomes of Collingswood, NJ and Louis (Elizabeth) Gomes of Pittstown, PA.  Devoted grandmother of Madelyn (Christopher) Torres, Ilea (Matias) Nauts, Bianca (Joshua) Lieberman and Louis Gomes and great grandmother to Dominick, Alanna, Isabella, Sebastian, Valentina and Avery.  Dear sister of the late Fernando, Carlos, Julio and Arminda.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maria took pride in being a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a professional seamstress and enjoyed baking bread, cooking and knitting--especially sweaters for her grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, March 14, 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
