(Nee Oliveri) Peacefully on October 2, 2026, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Collingswood, NJ. She was 94 years old.
Born and raised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, Maria was a proud graduate of Little Flower High School. In the 1950s, her striking beauty and charm led her to a successful career as a model, appearing in numerous print and television advertisements.
Maria later married Leonard Coscia, and together they moved to the suburbs of New Jersey, where she would spend the remainder of her life raising her family. Later, Maria brought her sharp intellect and warmth to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked for many years as the Administrative Assistant to Head of Cardiology until her retirement. She then found love and companionship again when she married Sanford “Paul” Mead.
Maria’s greatest joy and ultimate pride was her family, whom she adored unconditionally. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and beautiful memories.
She was predeceased by her beloved children, John Coscia and Maryellen Bray, and her cherished grandson, Daniel Coscia.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Lynne Bartholomew; her devoted granddaughter, Julia Lello (née Bartholomew) and her husband, Charles Lello IV; and her two precious great-grandchildren, Charles V “Chase” Lello and Hunter Lello, who brought immense light to her later years.
Relatives and friends are invited attend his visitation on Thursday, October 8, 2026, 10 AM to 11 AM at FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Prayer Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice at www.samaritannj.org.
