(nee Scriboni) On May 11, 2016, of Oaklyn, NJ. Age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas H. Rooney, Sr. Dear mother of Thomas H. (Wendy) Rooney, Jr. and Andrew W. Rooney. Loving grandmother of Matthew T. Rooney and Michael P. (Bridget) Rooney. Devoted sister of Josephine Kirk, Rose Boland, Thomas Scriboni, the late Vincent Scriboni, the late Lucy Tromba and the late Virginia Franzke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maria was a member and past president of VFW Post #4463 Auxiliary, Oaklyn, NJ. She was a lifelong active parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Oaklyn where she was a member of the choir and altar & rosary society. Maria was also a former Haddon Township committee woman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 9:30 to 11 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church, 37 W. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
