(nee Spracklen) On March 19, 2104, of Audubon, NJ. Age 88 years. Born in Philadelphia on June 5, 1925, she was the beloved wife of the late Donald Emerson Ellis. Dear mother of 4 daughters: Gail E. Tanzola-Seymour (Scott P.), Donna J. Drumel (William E., Jr.), Wendy J. Super (Robert L., Jr.) and Lorraine Ellis-Papp (Gary). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Marie was characterized by living a simple, happy life which focused on caring for and giving to others. She had fond memories of attending Audubon High School as part of the class of 1943 and being a member of the Bon Bons Drum and Bugle Corps. She stayed connected with friends from her childhood, even attending her 70th class reunion this past year. Marie and her husband raised their family in Levittown, PA, followed by enjoying 15 years of retirement in Florida while pursuing their dreams of sailing, fishing and enjoying warmer climates. She treasured staying involved in the lives of her children and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 AM from St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ. Interment private.
