Devoted mother of Kathy (Ken) Booth, the late Mary (Noah) Lewis, Peter (Tammy), Patsy (Shel) Haber, Eileen (Paul) Whitman, Paul (Chris), Peggy, Tom (Corky) and John (Lori). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, a sister, Virginia Donahue, of Ventura, CA and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Pat grew up in West Collingswood, NJ. She graduated from Collingswood High School in 1941 and Philadelphia General Hospital's School of Nursing in 1946. Known affectionately by her peers as "Mahoney," she became a RN and proudly donned the "coveted double frill."
Pat married her beloved Matthew Pawlowski, of Camden, NJ in 1948. They raised nine children in Mt. Ephraim, NJ and were active members of Sacred Heart Parish. In 1975, Pat was widowed.
In 2004, Pat moved to Haddon Heights, NJ, to live with her daughter, Eileen, son-in-law, Paul, and their four children. Soon after she suffered a debilitating stroke, but maintained her sense of humor and continued to enjoy many of her favorite pastimes, including family time and watching "The Lawrence Welk Show," where she knew the words to nearly every song.
In spite of her hardships, Pat never lost her caregiver instinct and was quick to place others before herself. Her spicy sense of humor brought laughter to many and she will be missed by all.
