Michael Gattone of North Wildwood, formerly of Collingswood and Woodlynne, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 7, 2026.  He was 69 years old.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Joanne (nee Gregg); his sons, Michael (Denise), Matthew and Nicholas (Helena Rudoff); his grandchildren, Ethan, Genevieve and Adriana; his sister, Laura (Dan) Macukewicz and his nephew, Michael Gregg (Renee), whom he loved like a son.  He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia and his father, Michael, whom he cared for devotedly in his final years.

Mike was an avid fisherman who loved the sea.  Sitting on his deck in North Wildwood, soaking up the sun, looking out on the bay and watching the sunsets were the great joys of his retirement.  Mike was known for his silly sense of humor, his artistic talent and creativity and his incredible ability to fix almost anything.  He was generous with his time and was the first to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor.  Most of all, Mike loved his family and his dogs, Willow and the late Mack and Maisy.  He was not a man to express his love in words, but instead showed his love by showing up, by helping - by doing.  His absence will be felt deeply by all who were lucky enough to know him.
