Lifetime resident of Audubon, NJ, passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 90.

The daughter of Samuel Fox and Anna (Atkinson), Phyllis is survived by her dear sister, Rita Schmidt; niece, Vickie Tracy; nephew, Scott Schmidt (Linn); niece, Cindy Sampson (Rick); seven great nieces and nephews: Stephanie Tracy; Thomas Tracy (Emilie); Justin Tracy (Stephanie); Kelly Sparks (Jack); Melissa Smith (Jim); Ashley Balicki (Chris); Greg Schmidt (Amanda) and thirteen great great nieces and nephews: Nathan, Jackson, Michaela, Benjamin, Nash, Maverick, Aubrey, Kayla, Jackson, Adam, Luke, Vera and Aila.

Phyllis worked in the publishing field for many years starting out at Curtis Publishing in Philadelphia.  There she met a group of friends she would keep for the rest of her life.  She also had lifelong friends from childhood and a group of friends from her adult Sunday School class.  Phyllis was a true friend to many.

The beach was her happy place and Phyllis loved to go to Ocean City and Cape May.  Whenever she rented a property, she would generously invite family to join her there.  She loved walks on the beach and looking for seashells.

Phyllis lived in the same house all her life and loved her lilac bushes and lily of the valley plants.  She loved cats and she liked to read.  She loved to bake, especially cookies, rolls and pies.  Sour cherry pie was her absolute favorite.  She loved to entertain her family with delicious Sunday afternoon dinners.  The family will always remember those moments of togetherness.

Her favorite Bible verse was from the 23rd Psalm: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, November 22, 11 AM to 11:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM.  Interment Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.
