On February 27, 2019, of Collingswood, NJ, formerly of Guarda, Portugal.  Age 84 years.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Maria F. Gomes (nee Lopes).  Loving father of John (Yvonne) Gomes of Collingswood, NJ and Louis (Elizabeth) Gomes of Pittstown, PA.  Devoted grandfather of Madelyn (Christopher) Torres, Ilea (Matias) Nauts, Bianca (Joshua) Lieberman and Louis Gomes and great grandfather of Dominick, Alanna, Isabella, Sebastian, Valentina and Avery.  Brother of Alice Silva and Antonio Gomes.  He is also survived by a niece, Sandra and a great niece, Ana Sofia.

Raul was born in Guarda, Portugal and later moved to Coimbra, Portugal where he was a self-employed professional tailor.  After moving to the United States, he was employed as a press shop operator for Budd Company in Philadelphia, PA until his retirement.  Raul enjoyed working in his yard, fishing and doing puzzles later in life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, March 5, 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment private.
