IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard H.
Rowe, D.P.M.
December 26, 1946 – February 13, 2024
Rick passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, with his wife and children by his side. A former longtime resident of Moorestown, NJ, he was 77 years old.
Rick was the beloved husband of 54 years to Judith P. Rowe (nee Quintavalle). Loving father of Matthew (Patricia), Michael (Jeanne), Brian (Heather) and Kristin (Timothy) Carmon. Devoted Pop-Pop "Pops" to Elliot, Quentin, Jacob, Ellen, William, Annie, Samuel, Josiah, Caleb, Andrew, Emily and Luke. He is also survived by his mother, Elinor (the late Hobart) Rowe, two sisters, Pamela (William) Hoffman and Suzanne Graul, two brothers, Jeffrey Rowe and William (Ashleigh) Rowe and a dear brother-in-law, Paul (Sharon) Quintavalle and their children.
Rick graduated from Pasadena High School in 1964. He earned his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Moravian University in 1969, followed by his Podiatry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. Rick practiced podiatry on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood for over forty years, sharing his office with both his father-in-law, Paul Quintavalle, Sr., and his brother-in-law, Paul Jr. He was a dedicated and caring doctor, regularly visiting housebound patients in their homes, as well as several nursing homes. He also served as a former president of the Collingswood Rotary Club.
Through the years, Rick enjoyed various sporting activities including golf, racquetball, and hiking. Having grown up in New England, he was an avid skier, introducing the sport to his four children. His favorite hobby was woodworking. He built many beautiful pieces including a mahogany picnic table with benches and cribbage boards for all his grandchildren. His favorite place in the house was his woodshop where his grandkids always knew he kept a stash of candy.
Rick had a sweet tooth. Whenever possible, he would slip out of the house to find treats at L&M Bakery and Aunt Charlotte's Candies. His grandkids were happy to participate in his love of ice cream and milkshakes, whether at home or on vacation.
Rick has left his loving wife and family with many fond memories that they will never forget and will enrich their lives forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday evening, February 22nd, 6 to 8 PM and Friday, February 23rd, 10 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Celebration of Life service will follow Friday at 11 AM. Interment private.
