Went to be with Jesus on August 1, 2015, of Collingswood, NJ. Age 67 years.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Karen J. Snyder (nee Kaye). Dear father of Carrie (Rob) Shourds of Haddon Twp., NJ, Valarie (Tim) McAteer of Collingswood, NJ and Richard S. (Andrea) Snyder, Jr of Collingswood, NJ. He is also lovingly survived by 9 grandchildren: Alex, Jake and Carter Shourds; Nicholas, Sebastian and Gabriel Snyder; Hayden, Xander and Faith McAteer; step grandchildren, Reenie, Jessie and Timmy; his mother, Dorothy; brothers, Michael and Daniel and sister, Dorothea.

Richard was born on May 15, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to Sterling and Dorothy Snyder. He graduated from Father Judge High School in 1967 and Philadelphia Community College in 1973. He was a retired employee of PECO/Exelon in 2004 and a retiree of Audubon High School in 2009.

Richard and his wife, Karen, made Collingswood their home for the last 33 years. He was very active for 20 years with Collingswood Little League baseball. He also volunteered his time keeping stats for the boys and girls soccer, basketball and softball games at Audubon High School. Richard enjoyed woodworking, gardening, buying tools for his kids to borrow and taking long walks hand in hand with Karen around Knight Park and on the beaches of Wildwood, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Saturday 12 Noon to 1 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Park & Dayton Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Memorial Service will follow at 1 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Collingswoood Little League, 924 Stokes Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.
